Published under the auspices of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the Balkan Journal of Philosophy is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality articles that address topics of contemporary philosophical interest and make significant contributions to ongoing debates across all areas of philosophy and philosophy-related interdisciplinary research.
A central part of the journal's mission is to foster the exchange of ideas and encourage intellectual dialogue among philosophers from the Balkans, Central and Eastern Europe, while serving as a forum for scholars from around the world. By promoting collaboration across philosophical traditions and national cultures, the journal seeks to enhance the visibility and impact of philosophical research from the region within the global philosophical community.
The journal is open to all philosophical perspectives and traditions. At the same time, it particularly welcomes submissions distinguished by conceptual clarity, argumentative rigor, and analytical precision – qualities traditionally associated with the analytic approach to philosophy.
The Balkan Journal of Philosophy publishes two issues annually, both including original contributions in English. The first issue is devoted to a previously announced special topic, while the second is open to submissions on any philosophically interesting subject.
